I like the idea, that the artwork I am creating calls people to question what it’s made from. You have to get closer to really ‘see’ the individual pieces to understand what you are actually looking at.
“All people look, a few see”

Mandy Blake is an English artist who lives and works in Haarlem in the Netherlands. Her artwork is inspired by the wonder of nature, its delicate forms, and underlying strength. She looks to use flora, shells, and natural materials to create botanical art pieces.
“The more time I spend in nature, the more I see in nature, you start to wake up”
In this redemptive and cathartic act, Mandy explores her interest in texture, colour, and patterns as each piece of art, opens up like a flower, revealing itself bit by bit.
Mandy Blake trained as a Graphic Designer, at The Arts Institute, Bournemouth, followed by a career in digital design, resulting in Director Digital Creative in Amsterdam, before founding the creative studio Bloom & Grove™.
